Bertha Louise Tipton, age 76, of Laurel Street in Irvine, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at her home following a long illness. She was born February 24, 1947, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Tom and Vina Powell Cruise. She was a homemaker and a former Square D employee. She was a member of the First Christian Church and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Woody Tipton, and her son, Robert “Robbie” Muncie. She is survived by:
1 son: Michael (Kristi) Muncie - Irvine
1 stepson: Michael (Lisa) Tipton - Richmond
Daughter-in-law: Krissy Muncie - Irvine
7 grandchildren: McKeely (Jared) Zerhusen, Chase Muncie, Maci Muncie, Lexi Muncie, Preslee Muncie, Tara Tipton, and Molly Tipton
3 great-grandchildren: Tristan, Layla, and Luxton
Funeral services were conducted Monday, September 4, 12 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Frymyer officiating. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Funeral Home.
