Obituary for Barbara Ballard
Barbara JoAnn Harrison Ballard, age 70, of Shermans Lane in Richmond passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2012 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center after a long illness. She was born January 10, 1943 in Estill County and was a daughter of the late Vernon and Rebecca Rawlins Harrison. She was a retired hairdresser and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Merrill Ballard. She is survived by: Three Daughters: Merle Lynn Norman (Joe), Richmond, KY Sherrie Ballard Isaacs (Scott), Estill County Ella Marie Neikirk (Curtis), Lexington, KY Two Sisters: Lesetta Powell, Ohio Ruby Hunt, Estill County One Brother: Floyd Harrison, Estill County Two Grandchildren: Amanda Lynn Pennington (Richie) Tessney Rene Merritt (Michael) One Great Grandchild: Kaleigh Pennington In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Neal, Mae Horn, Theda Reedy, and Peggy Harrison; and six brothers: Elmer, James, Sterling, Delbert, Arnold, and Chester Harrison. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bob Mills. Burial will follow in the Harrison Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Tim Adams, Monte Ballard, Richie Pennington, Michael Merritt, and James Hardin.
