Obituary for Arthur Embry
Arthur Embry, age 76, of Maupin Hill Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his home following a long illness. He was born April 20, 1940 in Estill County and was the son of the late Hugh and Hazel Babb Embry. He was a mason and a retired rig operator with Western Cruise. He attended the Lower Red Lick Holiness Church and the House of Prayer. He had lived in Estill County all of his life. He is survived by: His wife: Thelma Plowman Embry 5 Daughters: Connie Murphy ; husband, Dennis Estill Co. Bobbie Townsend ; husband, James Estill Co. Hazel Hardy ; husband, Jimmy Estill Co. Charlene Sellars ; husband, Tony Estill Co. April Embry Coffey ; husband, Jason Estill Co. 4 Sons: Arthur Earl Embry ; wife, Patty Estill Co. Michael Jr. Embry ; wife, Annie Estill Co. Brian Eugene Embry ; wife, Amanda Estill Co. Dwight Steven Embry Estill Co. 22 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren A grandchild he raised: Brook Townsend Many nieces and nephews 2 pets: Gracie and Tiger He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Michael Edward Townsend and Lucas Carl Embry, 3 sisters; Louise Arvin, Gracie May Embry and Mattie Embry and 5 brothers; Eugene Embry, Robert Embry, Shannon Embry, Nelson Vickers and Chester Embry and 2 loving pets; Prince and Lazy. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 29, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bruce Alcorn, Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro Paul Luster. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Tuesday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
