Anthony “Tick” Smith, 70, of Drip Rock, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2026. Born October 22, 1955, he was the son of the late Farris and Mary Smith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Veronica Lynn Smith, Three sisters, Berniece, Porsha, and Dianna Smith, Four brothers, Bruce, Glen, Cecil, and Cleburn Smith, one niece Andrea Gipson, and one great nephew, Kaven Richardson.
Survivors include:
His wife, Karen Smith.
His son, Anthony (Rebecca) Smith.
His daughter, Carrie Suzanne (Willie) Mason.
His granddaughter, Maegan (Jonas) Breakall.
His grandson, Levi Mason
Three sisters, Jewell (Lowell) Isaacs, Bonnie Wilson, and Mildred (Bill) Richardson.
He was also blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was a member of the Drip Rock Baptist Church. He found joy in laughter, family, and working outside gardening and crafting things. He had a generous spirit and quietly helped others all throughout his life. He held onto the promise of everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ and though his earthly journey has finished, we rejoice in knowing he is now at a place of rest with his Savior.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 6, 11 AM, at the Drip Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will be at the Sparkman Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 PM at the Church.
