Obituary for Allen Elwood Barnes
Allen Elwood Barnes, age 78, of Marble Yard Road in Ravenna passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the University of KY Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1933 in Estill County and was the son of the late Samuel and Stanley Reed Barnes. He was an auto mechanic and attended the House of Prayer. He was a United States Army veteran and had lived in Estill County all of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Noe Barnes. He is survived by: 3 Daughters: Linda Regina Raider ; husband, Thomas of Irvine Ona Anita Osborne ; husband, Steve of Ravenna Deborah Ann Ewen ; fianc, Dwayne Day of Winchester His fianc: Betty Shuler of Ravenna 1 Step-Son: Daniel Lee Shuler ; fianc, April of Ravenna 3 Sisters: Lou Ellen Gray of Ravenna Ruby Lynch of Irvine Charlene O'Shea of Dayton, Oh 3 Brothers: Raymond Barnes of Ravenna Alvin C. Barnes of Ravenna Beverly Wayne Barnes of Irvine His Brother-in-law: Omer Noe of Ravenna 6 Grandchildren: David Wasson, II, Jeremy Allen Barnes, Thomas Dwayne Raider, II, Eric Lee Raider, Crystal Jean Greenhill and Andrea Haling 5 Great Grandchildren: Jaden Osborne, Kaleb Haling, Alyssa Haling, Haley Greenhill and Alexandria Barnes A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Mildred McCoy, Ona Chaney and Dorothy Chaney and 3 brothers; Roy William Barnes, Clyde Barnes and Boyd Barnes. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Terry Barnes. Burial will be at the Mackey Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 PM Friday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
