Albert Kirby, age 90, of Grindstone Road in Irvine, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. He was born July 24, 1935, in Estill County and was the son of the late Willie Kirby and Anna Florence Edmonson Kirby. He retired as a Painting Contractor, and he was a member of the Pea Ridge Holiness Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life. He is survived by:

11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Lula Morris, Freda Johnson, Rachel Woolery, and Beulah Crowe, 1 brother, Simp Kirby, and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 10, 11 AM, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fabian Lynch, Bro. Harold Edmonson, and Bro Gary Jones officiating. Burial will be at the Kirby Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 PM.
