Ada Lee Stamper Puckett, age 78, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, passed away May 18, 2026, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond following a long illness. She was born January 4, 1948, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Jess Stamper and Carrie Leona Lonaker Stamper. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Old Time Baptist Church. No one could cook like Nan – every meal she made was filled with love, and her kitchen was one of her family’s favorite places. Her greatest joy was her great grandbabies, whom she loved deeply and spoiled endlessly. She had lived in Estill County for all her life. She is survived by:

6 great grandchildren: Isaiah Sewell, Luke Sewell, Maylen Sewell, Harper Gooch, Emma Sparks, and Hattie Sue Gooch
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Virginia Roberts.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 23, 11 AM, at the Old Time Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Chaney officiating. Burial will be at the Campbell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
